Ethan Swanson competed as a 7th grader in the district level of solo and ensemble and went as far as is possible on the  Jr High level. Below are some of the comments the judges gave him. He also received a 1 in the competition which is almost as high as you can receive. 

“What a nice solid voice. Great focus and control of tone. WONDERFUL (Intonation.) Great emotional involvement w/accent.”

Ethan has played Collin in the Secret Garden at the Grand Theater in Salt Lake City, Oliver in “Oliver” (RMT), Puck  in “A Mid Summer Night’s Dream,” Tom Sawyer in “Big River” and more, plus has several film credits to his name. His biggest accomplishment in his 14 years of age so far is the role of Gavroche in Pioneer Theater Company’s “Les Mis.”
